Sensory bags and Accessibility

Our Sensory Bags contain items to enhance your visit. They include items like ear defenders, fidget spinners, magnifying glasses, reading overlays, timers, and more. Just pick up a bag at our ticket office to use on your journey of discovery!

We offer a version of our family Treasures Trail for our young neurodivergent visitors which uses symbol supported text to help people with reading, understanding and communicating. If you are interested, please enquire at our ticket office where they will be available to collect.

Family Facilities Information

Copy: We are a small but friendly site and we want to make sure everyone feels comfortable to explore!

Just a few things to note:

  • We have limited space for buggies around the site but there is some space to leave buggies – just ask one of our staff members or Volunteers.
  • Accessible toilets including baby changing facilities are located on the Lower Ground Floor.
  • We have a small Kosher cafĂ© where you can buy refreshments and take a moment to relax and do some colouring. Highchairs are available. Bottle warming facilities are available, please just ask a member of staff.
  • Our cafĂ© is Kosher which means we kindly ask that no outside food is consumed in the cafĂ©. However, vegetarian-only snacks and baby-food may be eaten in our Kahal Room (located on the Lower Ground Floor where our craft activities are!) or in the courtyard. This means no meat and no fish, especially no pork.
  • We kindly ask that no food is consumed in the Synagogue, The Wolfson Gallery or The Weisz Treasury (our exhibition areas).
  • Breastfeeding and bottle feeding are welcome anywhere. Since we are a small site, we don’t have any fully private areas for this purpose- apologies.
